Listings in Aspen Garden Edmonton

Aspen Gardens was built on property that was acquired by Edmonton in 1960. The majority of the single-family homes in the area were built in the 1960s, while the majority of the apartments were built in the 1970s. Aspen Gardens was created for people and families looking for a peaceful, high-quality residential community with “executive” style houses and larger-than-average lots. The geography of the neighborhood is gradually undulating, with mature trees and bushes. The community is bordered on the west by Whitemud Creek Ravine, and the Aspen Gardens Street design reflects the curving boundary between Aspen Gardens and Whitemud Creek Ravine. Many of the larger homes in the area back up to the ravine. Pathways strategically installed around the neighborhood encourage pedestrian and bicycle movement. 40th Avenue at 199th Street is the major access road and transit route into Aspen Gardens. The neighborhood is connected to Westbrook Estates on the south side by 121 Street and Aspen Drive West. The Aspen tree, which grows abundantly in the Parkland woods of west central Alberta, inspired the neighborhood's name.
