Listings in Summerside Edmonton

Summerside is located in the Ellerslie Area Structure Plan (ASP) and is in the ASP's center. Ellerslie Road (9th Avenue SW) to the north, 66th Street to the east, 25th Avenue to the south, and Parsons Road (91st Street) to the west define the neighborhood. The Summerside neighborhood was built in the early 2000s and is currently under construction. Summerside is expected to be three-quarters low-density residential, with the remaining units being medium density. The neighborhood will also include commercial, institutional, and recreational uses. The neighborhood will have a variety of park spaces as well as two school sites once it is finished. On the western edge of the neighborhood, Parson's Road has a business and office park, while Ellerslie Road to the north has minor community level commercial amenities. Summerside Lake, a 13-hectare, 28-foot-deep lake in the neighborhood's western section, is a prominent feature. Summerside Lake was the city of Edmonton's first man-made lake. Before Summerside Lake, all other lakes in Edmonton were stormwater management lakes, intended to successfully regulate drainage inside neighborhoods. Summerside, on the other hand, was built with the primary intention of providing recreational space to its citizens. Residents pay a monthly fee to have exclusive access to the lake. Summerside is named after a city on Prince Edward Island, and the area has a nautical "resort village" feel about it.
